Miss Suzie Q - Fighter and Survivor

I would like to take a moment to express thanks to a Miss Christina Aguilera for a song that kept me going, and still keeps me going... If my Moron only knew that all that he has done to me, has just made me stronger and the formidable woman I am today...

After all you put me through
You'd think I'd despise you
But in the end
I wanna thank you 'cause you made that much stronger

Well I thought I knew you, thinkin' that you were true
Guess I, I couldn't trust called your bluff time is up
'Cause I've had enough
You were there by my side, always down for the ride
But your joy ride just came down in flames
'Cause your greed sold me out of shame, mhm

After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that
I hold resentment for you
But uh uh, oh no, you're wrong
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know
Just how capable I am to pull through
So I wanna say thank you
'Cause it

Chorus:
Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Never, saw it coming
All of, your backstabbing
Just so, you could cash in
On a good thing before I realized your game
I heard, you're going around
Playing, the victim now
But don't, even begin
Feeling I'm the one to blame
'Cause you dug your own grave, uh huh

After all of the fights and the lies
Yes you wanted to harm me but that won't work anymore
Uh, no more, oh no, it's over
'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture
I wouldn't know how to be this way now, and never back down
So I wanna say thank you

How could this man I thought I knew
Turn out to be unjust so cruel
Could only see the good in you
Pretended to not to see the truth
You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself
Through living in denial
But in the end you'll see
YOU-WON'T-STOP-ME

I am a fighter and I
I ain't goin' stop
There is no turning back
I've had enough

Chorus:
Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Do you have a song that keeps you going?

Wow, I have to tell you, I married a moron and survived too and I got a beautiful child out of it also. This song was one that I blasted in my car and sang my guts out too because it was exactly how I felt as I was going through my divorce. I love Christina and I love strong women. Good for you for standing up and fighting. I can tell we would get along great. I look forward to following your blog!

I have a few that have kept me going over the past little while, and they lose their way in my repetoire, then find their way back again... I was told about this song from my sister during my court battle with my Moron... I too found solace in it, and sang it proudly!

Ah, a kindred spirit, so nice to make your acquaintance :) Yes survived I did -

Thanx, and welcome to my humble abode...

I have heard of that happening alot... our darned patriarchal society...
My moron seems to take me in and out of court on a whim as a further abuse tool trying to wear me down finacially, emotionally, and physically. It does take its toll... I wish you strength and luck :)

I'm really liking your blog! I married a Mormon Moron! Perhaps the worst kind, hiding evil behind religion. I'm now divorced, but still going through court issue with him, where he's backed up by a judge that I"m sure is also a moron! Ugh!
